IMPORTANT FACTS OF BANK EXAMS

• ATMs set up, owned and operated by non-banks are called White label ATMs. 
• Non- bank ATM operators are authorized under payment & settlement systems Act, 2007 by the Reserve Bank of India.
• In White Lable ATM scenario, logo displayed on ATM machine and in ATM permises pertain to WLA operator instead of a bank. However, for a customer, using WLA is just like using the ATM of other bank.
• Acceptance of cash deposits at the WLA is not permitted at present.
• The Banking Ombudsman Scheme was first introduced in India in 1995, and was revised in 2002.
• Banking Ombudsman was created to eresolve the complaints of customers  of banks relating to certain services rendered by the them
• There are 20 regional offices of Banking Ombudsman in India.
• The latest offices were opened Jammu & Raipur.
